January overview

The New Year kicked off with a full moon lunar eclipse, also known as the “Blue Moon”. This Super charged Moon was the second single full moon in a month.  Mean while Mercury, our planet of communication is in retrograde.

The  New moon in Capricorn on the 15th and Mercury going direct the same day will get many of us re-thinking our long term career plans.  We can expect some powerful truths to be revealed at this time, so beware of deception or breaking the rules, you’re most likely to be found out if you do.!   

Jupiter enters its ruler Pisces on the 17th making for a powerful alignment. Dreams, aspirations, and a greater sense of our own spiritual pathways will be more evident, at this time.  Make the most of Jupiter’s brief stay in Pisces before moving into to Aries in the early summer, for a brief period. 

With so much planetary activity going on, there’s bound to be some pretty powerful shifts occurring.... through-out the course of this year.

Your Year ahead... 2010


Aries: Between now and the spring, this is a time of re-assessment rather than radical change, especially where your home and relationships are concerned. When   benevolent Jupiter, enters your sign in the early summer months this is a time when you can act and think big - as Jupiter lends it’s self to good luck and good fortune, you may be looking to expand your horizons on all levels but watch out, as you could pile on a few un- wanted extra pounds.

Taurus: This is your best month for any plans regarding negotiations, buying and selling or making any significant moves. When the Sun, enters you sign on the 20th and Mercury on the 2nd you’ll feel more energised, and optimistic, that things are on track. Beware of communication problems   until the 11th... Signing or finalising transactions   would be better left after then. The summer is set to be a sizzling one where your love life is concerned.

Gemini: With so much planetary activity going on, the first half of this year is set to be a busy one. You may   be planning a   major move that takes shape in the second half of the year.  Your ruler Mercury goes direct on the 15th coupled with a powerful new moon in Capricorn – this is the most   productive time for change, where your work or long term prospects are concerned. Risk taking is not advised unless you’re feeling Lucky.

Cancer: Since 2009, most Cancerians would have seen a marked change in their lives particularly towards the end of 2009.  You are now in a position, to achieve your objectives. Plans for, your long term future begin to take shape now.  This theme continues throughout 2010.  You’re building foundations now, towards a rock solid future.

Leo: Mars the action Planet is currently in your sign and stays there, until the beginning of June. However, because of its stationary position you may be feeling frustrated, with your progress.  Your   best bet is, to re-assess and reflect rather than expect results, for now   Fine tune, any existing project or plans - expect results from the beginning of March.... It’s onwards and upwards from then.

Virgo:  Saturn,  Planet of restriction and Karmic- lessons left your sign at the end of 2009. This would have been a time of self reflection and a greater understanding of what your life lessons are. Usually cautious by nature, you enter the year, with a buoyant-happy-go-lucky attitude. This works in your favour, particularly where helping others through difficulties is concerned. This year, gives you the opportunity to stand out from the crowd...

Libra: Relationships come under the spot light for most of this year.  Many Librans will be either more committed in partnerships, or wondering whether the grass is greener on the other side of the fence? The answer is... it never is. Whether you are planning an engagement or ending existing relationships tread on the side of caution this year, as Saturn in your sign will be keeping a watchful eye!

Scorpio: January starts off on a positive foot. Between now and March, when your Ruler Mars goes direct expect to see the fruits of the previous year’s labour taking shape. Financially you may be thinking of investing in property, or stocks and shares. Jupiter’s, brief stay in Pisces,   encourages you to “bite the bullet” and go for it. The most auspicious time is from June onward when you’re Ruler Mars, goes into Aries.

Sagittarius:  This year see’s many Sagittarians changing course where career matters are concerned.  A long awaited change, and overseas travel is more than likely throughout the course of 2010. Be aware of signing contracts, and look at the fine print before sealing the deal.  Saturn exalted in Libra adds that extra touch of glamour to the mix bringing in new and exciting contacts from around the globe.

Capricorn: Since Pluto entered your sign at the end of 2009 you’ve been more in touch with your feelings and emotions than ever before.  Capricorn is notorious for NOT wearing his heart on his sleeve - however these next few months bring a softer side out in you.  Existing relationships deepen, and many single Capricorns, will want to feel close to a special someone!  . For once, it’s not all about work!

Aquarius: Since the departure of Jupiter in your sign, most Aquarians should be feeling a little more like settling down and taking root some where. Your career has taken on a new lease of life but not without its drama’s this month. Jupiter’s departure into Pisces on the 18th may leave you feeling that you didn’t make the most of the opportunities that came your way. On the other hand your love life shapes up wonderfully.

Pisces: This year is probably set to be one of the most expansive and fortunate years for most Pisces. Jupiter goes in to your sign and remains there until June so the spring and summer are great for any   important moves regarding personal and practical growth. Not normally a materialist sign you may find that this year brings in good luck and good -fortune without you even trying. Your nearest and dearest and what is of Value to you seems more important than ever.
